About Video Size Reducer

What this video compressor does, who publishes its guides, and how to check or correct our information.

What the tool does

Video Size Reducer helps prepare smaller video copies for chats, email attachments, and review. You can choose a target file size or quality-based compression, then download an MP4 without a watermark. Videos are uploaded for server-side processing.

Supported sources are SDR MP4, MOV, WebM, and MKV files with supported codecs. HDR and Dolby Vision are not supported. Target-size compression uses H.264 video and AAC audio when the source has sound. Keep your original file: re-encoding is lossy, and a smaller result is not a promise of identical quality.

Visitor and free-account source videos are limited to 1 GiB. Starter supports 2 GiB and Pro 5 GiB when the corresponding capacity is enabled. The upload area shows the limit available to you; pricing explains the plans and compression credits.

Who publishes the guides

Articles signed “Video Size Reducer Team” are published by the team maintaining this service. They are our own product guidance, not independent endorsements. Comparisons distinguish published product information from tests we actually performed.

Our testing methodology explains how to read the measured cases, what their settings mean, and what they cannot establish. Platform limits can change; check the linked official source and the limit shown in your own account.

File handling

Source videos are scheduled for cleanup after a task ends. Results are normally available for 24 hours; use the expiry shown on the task. See the privacy policy for processing and data handling details. Use a local encoder when the footage must stay on your device.

Corrections and support

If a guide, setting, or measured result looks wrong, contact support@video-size-reducer.com with the page URL and the step that needs checking. Please do not email private source videos. Articles show their publication date and, after a saved update, their updated date.
